Production of Antibody–Drug Conjugates in a Stirred Tank Reactor
Application ID: 141911
This space-dependent model describes a stirred semibatch reactor used for producing antibody–drug conjugates. The reactor is set up in 3D and the conjugation reactions, turbulent flow, and concentration fields are simulated as functions of time. The resulting yield and drug-to-antibody ratio are compared to an ideal semibatch case.
This model example illustrates applications of this type that would nominally be built using the following products:
however, additional products may be required to completely define and model it. Furthermore, this example may also be defined and modeled using components from the following product combinations:
- COMSOL Multiphysics® and
- Mixer Module and
- either the CFD Module, or Heat Transfer Module and
- either the CFD Module, or Polymer Flow Module and
- either the Chemical Reaction Engineering Module, or Electric Discharge Module and
- either the Battery Design Module, CFD Module, Chemical Reaction Engineering Module, Corrosion Module, Electrochemistry Module, Electrodeposition Module, Fuel Cell & Electrolyzer Module, Microfluidics Module, Pipe Flow Module, Porous Media Flow Module, or Subsurface Flow Module
The combination of COMSOL® products required to model your application depends on several factors and may include boundary conditions, material properties, physics interfaces, and part libraries. Particular functionality may be common to several products. To determine the right combination of products for your modeling needs, review the Tabella delle Funzionalità and make use of a free evaluation license. The COMSOL Sales and Support teams are available for answering any questions you may have regarding this.
