Performing Parameter Estimation in COMSOL Multiphysics®
Duration: 17:58
The accuracy of a simulation is dependent on the quality of data that it uses. Therefore, it is practical to calibrate models by combining experimental data with parameter estimation.
In this webinar, we discuss how the COMSOL Multiphysics® software and its add-on Optimization Module can be used for parameter, shape, and topology optimization. We also cover application areas where it is particularly beneficial to use the software's optimization solvers for parameter estimation. The webinar concludes with a demonstration of parameter estimation where we estimate the Young's modulus and Poisson's ratio of a model based on a tensile test.
