IN SILICO STEM is a Colombian company that aims to be a key innovation ally for companies in the biomedical, energy, and chemical industries. We combine the STEM disciplines with multiphysics simulation to predict the behavior of technological products and processes by considering the physics affecting them. Featured Projects
Cardiac Ablation
At IN SILICO STEM, we have developed several cardiac ablation models to study the thermal effects and potential esophageal injuries resulting from this procedure. Through these models, we have gained a better understanding of the interaction between tissues and applied energy, addressing clinically relevant questions and providing scientific evidence. Spinal Cord Stimulation
Spinal cord stimulation has recently been studied as a treatment for chronic pain and other neurological diseases. At IN SILICO STEM, we have developed a model to analyze the interaction between electrical impulses and nervous tissues. This model enables us to predict extracellular, intracellular, and membrane potentials, providing valuable insights into the propagation of action potentials.

Electric Transformers
Electric transformers are critical components in power systems, whose performance can be improved through simulation. At IN SILICO STEM, we develop computational models to analyze and predict key parameters of transformer operation. Our simulations provide insights into transformer impedance, losses, temperature and flow profiles, voltage, power, current, and others. Our Method
At IN SILICO STEM, we apply agile philosophy with scrum methodologies in all our computational simulation projects to ensure a flexible and efficient approach. This methodology allows us to quickly adapt to client changes and needs, ensuring that each phase of the project aligns with real expectations. Through short and iterative two-week work cycles (sprints), we regularly deliver tangible results, facilitating early feedback and allowing for quick adjustments.
