effective mode index for anisotropic material

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi Everyone,

I'm currently trying to get some dispersion relation for waveguide with anisotropic material. For this purpose I'm using RF module with Mode Analysis study.

I have problem with determination of the effective index for the modes with different polarizations. First of all, they must differ because of the anisotropic properties of material. But in fact I have the equal indices for modes with different polarizations, and this is some mean value between right one.

I have already successfully simulated the same situation with isotropic material. And there was no problem.

Can any one help me to get right values of effective mode indexes for modes with different polarizations?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards
Alexey
