test functions in weak form PDE

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

I have a problem with the definition of test functions in the weak form of PDE. Should I define them as variables? Because if I write for example test(p) the warning says unknown variable p. How can I fix this? Moreover, I have the same problem if I write for example ux to identify the derivative of u with respect to x. If I instead use d(u,x) it works. Thanks for the help
