Design Analysis of Auto-Tensioning Device based in Multibody Dynamics

In this paper, a new compact design of spring-based Auto-Tensioning Device (ATD) is designed as per the Indian railway standards having reduced weight and maintain the constant tension. Analytical calculations are verified with FE analysis by conducting Multibody Dynamic (MBD) analysis along with the structural analysis to optimize the stress generation in individual components.
