                                                    Hi Manohar,
I have been working on a similar problem like yours, which I have 2 objects that will expand due to temperature changes. previously someone has provided me with the following link of an example in contact problems, you may start with this one to gain more understanding.

Frankly, I still have errors in my problem and keep on trying; so maybe we can keep each other posted if any of us makes some discoveries.

                                                    Hi,
COMSOL is continuously improving its contact algorithms and they have gone through many revisions since these original postings in 2009. The latest version, 4.4, has additional contact methods. See
www.comsol.com/release/4.4#structural for more information. We have no reports of problems with uncontrolled penetration with mechanical contact. Contact simulations can sometimes be challenging and we recommend that you contact technical support for help with specific models.
