I would recommend you give more detail about what you mean by "it is not working". That would increase the chance that you receive useful feedback on this forum. Uploading your mph file (or a smaller version of it that reproduces the behavior) would also help users of the forum understand what you may have done incorrectly.

let say I want to simulate the process using the wave optics where use of the nk file required( refractive index and extinction coefficient file) , I am using the interpolation function to define the function but when i am using on the material properties then they show error in material section(in place of the refractive index data )

I might not do it properly, please give me an instruction how to do add the nk file in the materials section if there is a way to do that here is the rough file..... the file contains the rough diagram with interpolation function which contains the data for the given material refractive index file and I want to add this material in the material properties section how to do that

I find the solution, how to put the nk file in the comsol materials properties section it just put you file in the interpolation function( the nk file format is in the frequency and refractive index not in form of wavelength and refractive index ),and define a function.
