Plot of temperature along a line inside of a thin layer

Hello

How can we plot the temperature along a line inside a thin layer? The line is parallel to the thin layer surface. I manage to do the surface graph of the temperature on the layer, but I would like to do the plot of the temperature only on a line. I've tried several approaches with the command atxd but they didn't succeed.

a cut line dataset and a line plot using it is what you want.

Thank you, Edgar. A cut line 2D or 3D? I tried to use a cut line 3D but using 2 points but I couldn't figure out right z-coordinate of those two points (my thin layer is in the plane xy).

If the layer is in the xy plane, then z should be 0?

If the thin layer is implemented as a boundary you may see a temperature discontinuity. In this case you can use the up() and down() operators to see the temperatures on each side of the boundary.

The layer is a xy plane at a particular z=z0. The layer has thickness but there is no z-coordinate associated with it since it was defined as layered material. If I use the cut line 3D, I can choose the layered material that I previously selected as one dataset, I choose the x and y coordinates accordingly to the line I want but I could not find the right z to use. I tried the z0, zero (as you suggested ) and other options but I could not find the right z choice. Have you got other suggestions?
