Hello,
I am trying to model the following situation and would appreciate your advice on the appropriate module and boundary conditions:
1.There is a cylindrical silicon rod. 2.I want to determine how deeply sunlight can penetrate and be absorbed in the silicon rod when it is incident from above. Specifically, I am interested in the reduction of intensity with depth. 3.I am not concerned about the thermal effects; my focus is solely on understanding the extent of light absorption.
Previously, I used the Electromagnetic Waves, Frequency Domain module for analysis, but the intensity (electric field) did not decrease with depth, making me question the reliability of the results. Therefore, I am seeking assistance.
Your guidance would be greatly appreciated.
