Trouble finding the electrostatic force

Hi,

I am very new to comsol and I am running into some trouble while trying to calculate the electrostatic forces in my model. The model I'm analysing is a comb drive. I made a very basic 2D model in order to check first whether I could find the force based on only a static es simulation but I'm already running into trouble. I really just need to find the total reaction force between the two objects but when I try to plot or calculate the force it doesn't show up.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Mick,

you must add a Force Calculation subnode for the domain you want the force. Make sure the mesh is fine enough where field gradients are high.
