Question about lithium plating simulation

When running the simulation in the link Lithium Plating with Deformation - COMSOL,it was observed that lithium plating does not occur even without applying a reverse current, and the electrode decreases over time. Why does this phenomenon occur? I need lithium dendritic growth simulation&data for research.
