Heat capacity and density for stationary problem

Why need the stationary solver in comsol multiphysics (heat transfer in solids) information about heat capacity and density of the material?

You don't need it. The physics node is set up for the more general case and shows missing values in the material settings but the solver isn't complaining in case the values are missing.
