Hi,
I am trying to model heat transfer in a cryostat cooled by a pulse tube cryocooler. One approach is to set a fixed heat flux at the pulse tube's coldhead. However, more realistically, the cooling power (or heat flux at the coldhead) is a function of the temperature at both the first and second stage coldheads (see a capacity curve for example).
So my question is -- can I define the heat flux at a surface to be a function of the temperature at two locations in my model?
Thank you very much in advance, Joelle
