Fluid-dynamic Blunting

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello,

I am trying to simulate a fluid-dynamic blunting for a cone. I have a solid cone exposed to a free stream in a wind tunnel running at constant speed. The cone is blowing air through its tip, thus producing a blunting effect. The analysis to find the distance between the new stagnation point produced has been found theoretically, but I would like to compare my results using COMSOL. I am not sure how to set up this in COMSOL, I was able to run the 2 flows independently ( the free stream , and the flow from the cone) but I am not sure on how to combine the two flows. I am using subsonic flow with speeds in the 10-50 m/s range for both, the free stream and the jet flow. Any advice and help would be appreciated.

I am attaching my model.

Thank you very much.
