How are curvature variables calculated in COMSOL?

I am looking into evaluating curves in my geometry in COMSOL using the curv1/2, curv_spatial, and curv_geom functions. For my project, I wanted to get a deeper understanding and learn how to describe it without parroting what I have read in the documentation. How exactly are these values being calculated and which equations does COMSOL use?
