Lossy medium simulataion in time domain

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi everyone, I've been trying to implement an lossy medium for a time dependent problem.

I was start with "second-harmonic-generation model."
This model contains Transient Electromagnetic physics.

I changed remanent electric displacement to refractive index in electric displacemnet field model.
I set the refractive index(imaginary part) to 0.1 and -0.1

However it doesn't works well.

How do I model materials with gain/losses in time domain?

Please advise to me.
