derivative of scalar variable with respect to normal direction

Dear All,

I would like write the expression which is used as flux term in mass transport equation
The expression is Dl*dc1/dn where Dl is diffusivity , c1 is concentration and n is normal direction.

May i know variable which is used to express for the term of "d/dn".
