Unknown Function in Comsol 4.0

Hi,

I tried to calculate the coil resistance by V/I. I define V as a constant in Global definitions and current as an expression. But I try to plot the result, I met with the following error:

Unknown function
-Name: intop1
-Plot: surf1(Surface)

I use an integration in mod1-definitions with a name of intop1. Then I define a total_current in Global definitions as intop(mef.Jphi), it gives the unit of A.

But when I try to plot the result. It would give out the error like above. Does anyone know what is wrong with here?

Thank you.

Hi

how are you plotting it ? With your Definition Global variable of your intop1() you get a "table". Then you hit the "Plot icon" on the upper border part of the Table view it will generate a line plot for you under the Results node

You may also define a Variable TotalCurrent = intop(...) then either right click Study & "Update solution" or "Compute"
Then you may refer directly to your variable "TotalCurrent" within a line plot

Good luck
