Error 8030 when solving problem in simulating air-core photonic crystal fiber

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello, I am new with COMSOL and trying to simulate air-core photonic crystal fiber with it. Now I am trapped, after I hit the SOLVE PROBLEM button, I got an error 8030 : surface plot failed, cannot evaluate all expressions on any domain, failed to evaluate variables. Can anybody give me a hint what's going on here?

Best,
Lei

Hi

you must learn and read carefully the COMSOL conventions on variables, these have often implicit meanings as some are rather fields depending on x,y,z and/or r,t ... so a variable might not have any meaning on some domains (Entities: domain boundaries ... another important concept to learn, check the doc), ofthen the variables must be integrated to give useful values for us

Good luck
