HR Generalist

Job Description

COMSOL, Inc. is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team. The HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting daily HR operations, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and fostering a positive workplace culture. This role requires a well-rounded HR professional who can handle a variety of HR functions including employee relations, recruitment, benefits administration, and policy implementation. This is an in-office position, M-F

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, development, and offboarding
  • Assist with recruitment activities including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and offer preparation
  • Act as liaison for benefits programs and answer employee questions regarding benefits and policies
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Support employee relations efforts by addressing employee inquiries and assisting with workplace investigations when needed
  • Coordinate employee training, performance review processes, and development initiatives
  • Assist in developing, updating and communicating HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook content
  • Support payroll processing and ensure accuracy of employee data in HR systems
  • Help plan employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and company events

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in a Human Resources role
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and HR compliance requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to build rapport throughout the organization
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • High degree of integrity and the ability to handle confidential information with professional discretion
  • Ability to work independently and take full ownership of assigned projects and workflows
  • Current eligibility to work in the U.S. No sponsorship for employment-based visas or F-1 visa holders will be offered for this position

Helpful Qualifications

  • Experience with Paylocity and/or BambooHR
  • HR certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR
