AltaSim Develops and Deploys an App for Heat Sink Optimization
Jeff Crompton, AltaSim Technologies, OH, USA
HeatSinkSim is a simulation app created by the specialists at AltaSim Technologies that can help optimize heat sink designs for power electronics. This app was developed with the Application Builder in the COMSOL Multiphysics® software and deployed by installing COMSOL Server™ on a cluster.
The primary objective of HeatSinkSim is to speed up the delivery of customized heat sink designs while ensuring quality results. The easy-to-use interface allows nonspecialists to run complex analyses. The use of COMSOL Multiphysics® and the Application Builder lends flexibility to the design workflow while ensuring quality, reducing risk, and streamlining overall product development.
