Electroosmotic micropumps are relatively easy to integrate into microfluidic lab-on-a-chip devices. An applied electric field causes the pumping effect generated in these channels. The MEMS Module has a predefined application mode for such multiphysics couplings, and is easy to manipulate. Shown here are the pressure field (color plot) and flow (streamlines) through this electroosmotic pump. |
