Simulation using interpolation

Hi. In the attached file I'm trying to use a method to accelerate the computation. As I know, I can use the cubic interpolation in order to decrease the amount of elements in the geometry, but i don't know how. How can I implement this interpolation. Also, is there another way to accelerate the hardware in the Elastic waves, time explicit module?
