Velocity profile in pipe

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi everyone!

My model is a pipe mostly covered by insulation but in one place it is connected to a metal sleeve where heat transfer occurs.

Why is the velocity profile so different from inlet to outlet? I think the change is much larger than in tutorial file "Nonisothermal Laminar Flow in a Circular Tube", https://www.comsol.com/model/nonisothermal-laminar-flow-in-a-circular-tube-55861

To evaluate the velocity profile, I use color plots and line plots.

Attached is pictures and my mph file.

Kind regards, Robert Gustavsson
