Strain energy with only one principal stretch ratio (Structural Mechanics)

Dear All,

I am trying to analyse, stretching of a rectangular sheet problem which is in plane stress state.

Sheet is defined by a custom strain energy function which has only one principal stretch ratio in it. For example, W = (E/8)*(lambda1^2 - 1)^2. This energy function is convex.

The variations of lambda2 and lambda3 in terms of lambda1 are known explicitly.

Can you please suggest on how to implement this for 2D solid in COMSOL? Because, COMSOL throws up void equations error in v and w, when I try to implement this energy function!

Also, I am not able to over-ride root equations, as they throw up some circular variable dependency error.

Any suggestion or help is highly appreciated.

Thanks and Regards, Sairam.
