Modelling custom dynamic equation of motion

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

I want to create a customized fem model based on a modified version of duffing equation. I know I will be studying geometric non-linearity as well. Other than that I don't know where to start. I've used the point ode submodule in mathematics module to solve a point equation but I don't know how to extend it to a fully discretized fem model. Should I modify the consititutive equations in some fashion to account for the specified equation of motion? Any help in this regard is much appreciated.
