Hi Patryk,
I am not sure for Mac, but it should be similar to linux - which I use - I suppose.
And I am working with v4.1, but I think the commands have already been available in 3.5 if I remember correctly.
If you start comsol from a command line in a terminal, try to start it with: comsol -np X (where X is the number of processors)
This works well for me.
There are some other command line options that might be useful for you.
e.g. "mpmode" (multiprocessor mode), which controls how comsol uses the available processors.
It offers three different choices: throughput, turnaround and owner. According to the documentation, the first choice is expected to give the best performance when several different processes are running actively at the same time as comsol. The second one (turnaround) should be the best in case that no other processes are running besides comsol and the third one - the documentation says - provides the highest performance in most cases.

Hi,
how set (check) how many cores use comsol 4a on mac?
On mac it will use all available cores. If you want to set yourself do it like this:
/Applications/COMSOL40a/bin/comsol -np 4
