Modeling Semiconductor Devices

Part One

Learn about the Semiconductor Module, an add-on product to the COMSOL Multiphysics® software that has dedicated functionality for simulating semiconductor devices. In Part 1 of this two-part webinar series, you will learn about direct-current, small-signal, and transient analyses of diodes and transistors; optoelectronic devices; ion-sensitive field-effect transistors (ISFETs); thermal effects; and more. The files for the demonstration model shown in the webinar, Si Solar Cell 1D, are available for download. Other example semiconductor models can be found and downloaded from the Application Gallery.

Part Two

In Part 2 of this recorded webinar series, we expand on the Si Solar Cell 1D model by focusing on the drift-diffusion formulation. We also look at the Heterojunction 1D model, which showcases some of the best practices for modeling semiconductors. Other example semiconductor models can be found and downloaded from the Application Gallery.

These webinars are relevant to recently released versions of COMSOL Multiphysics®, although you may notice small differences between versions. Check out the Semiconductor Module product page for more information about the module.
