Stress Dependent Fracture Width and Permeability

Hi,

I am having an issue with coupling fracture flow properties and the stress tensor in the poro-elasticity module. I have defined a matrix permeability as a constant value but the fracture width and permeability is dependent on the stress tensor (Barton-Bandis Model). The model runs successfully when the fracture width and permeability are set to constant values but fails to converge when they are set to equations that depend on the stress tensor (i.e., width = 1[mm] - ((-poro.sy) / (100[MPa/mm] + (-poro.sy/1[mm]))); and permeability = (width^2)/12).

What is the reason why the model fails to converge with a simple equation defining fracture width and permeability? I have tried defining an analytical function for each property based on the stress tensor with no luck. Any suggestions?
