MRI, CT and scanned data export to COMSOL from Simpleware
Simpleware is the maker of industry-leading 3D image processing and meshing software ScanIP™. The software enables users to directly export high-quality volume meshes of MRI, CT, MicroCT and Microscopy data into COMSOL Multiphysics for modeling and simulation without requiring re-meshing or pre-processing.
Simpleware directly links to COMSOL Multiphysics by exporting a COMSOL project file (*.mph) which includes material properties, contact surfaces, shell elements and sets of points. The export also supports the transfer of greyscale based material properties for a subdomain where each element is assigned a density and Young's Modulus based on the intensity of the underlying pixel.
