Distributed capacitance

Dear forum members,

I have a touch time with trying to use "distributed capacitance" in my model.
I am trying to numerically calculate the capacitance of parallel plate air capacitor, with particle flying between plates.

The particle is going to be living cell modelled as sphere of water enclosed by capacitive membrane. Due to small dimension of this membrane ( ~20nm ) I was about to use distributed capacitance layer.

In help file it is defined as:

"You can use the Distributed Capacitance boundary condition to model a thin sheet or film of a dielectric material. The sheet has the relative permittivity ?rL and the surface thickness dL, and it is connected to the reference potential Vref."

Unfortunately in my application, there is no such "reference potential" - I want my membrane to be kept on floating potential.

Do you have any suggestions how to solve such case?

Best regards,
Michal Radziwon
