Natural convection in steel ladle

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi. I have a problem simulating the cooling of a steel making ladle. The cooling inside the ladle is by natural convection of air. I am trying to simulate this by using General heat transfer and k-e turbulence physics.
The problem is that i dont know what boundary condition to use on the upper boundary (boundary 11) of the air subdomain. The ladle is not closed and the air should transport the heat out of the ladle at the top with convection.
