COMSOL models for indirect X-ray imaging

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi
Is anyone aware of COMSOL models that deal with indirect X-ray imaging (i.e. scintillator/phosphor materials that
convert X-rays into visible light, e.g. CsI, GADOX..)?

I’ve been searching this week, but all I’ve found are simulations of direct imaging methods (i.e. conversion of X-ray photons to electrons, e.g. CdTe, ZnSe,…)

any comments will be gratefully recieved

Paul

Hi

COMSOl is firt of all an advanced PDE solver, so if you have the PDE's for the conversion process, you shuld be able to imlement them into COMSOL, Now that part of the Physics spectrum is not my "pot of tea" and I'm not aware of any models

Good luck

Hi Ivar

thanks for your comment

I do have the PDE, so first I'll try to teach myself "generic PDE implementation", then I'll have a go at implementing the equations I want
