Reference pressure settings of a cavity

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello readers, I am currently working on a cavity where mass inflow rate is used to send gas in through the inlets and then it is send out through the outlet. See figure 1. The outlet is usually set in a certain pressure around 100 mbar. That means that the entire cavity including the outlet should be at around 100 mbar. Assuming that the pressure of the cavity and outlet is 100 mbar, i know that I have to change the pressure of the outlet to 100 mbar in the CFD module. The module that I use is V2-f. What I do not understand is what pressure do I have to set at the reference pressure and the initial pressure. Can anyone help me out with that? Changing the reference pressure from 1bar to 100 mbar completely changes the result of the simulation.
