Magnetoelectric transducer Terfenol-D/PZT-5A.

Good morning, I am doing a simulation of a magnetoelectric transducer in a multiphysics comsol composed of a piezoelectric material (PZT-5A) and two magnetostrictive materials (Terfenol-D). After applying a magnetic field to a magnetostrictive device, I get a deformation of the Terfenol-D, unfortunately the piezoelectric is not under any load. Please help me solve the problem???!

Hello Ferdinand,

A guess is that somehow you failed to connect the two materials. You should attach your mph file otherwise users of the Forum can only guess how you've set things up.

Best,

Jeff
