Contact between two extremity nodes of two plates exposed to an electrostatic force

Hi I am facing a problem in simulating the contact between two extremities nodes while exposing the two plates to an electrostatic force. 2D Geometry

I tried two configurations:

  • Form union + contact pair: the plate moves toward the fixed plate but without considering the contact pair. Form Union

  • Form assembly+ contact pair+continuity (identity pair): the plate doesn't move at all. Form Assembly

I will be very grateful for any help or suggestions.
