mass transfer

Hi! I'm a new user of comsol.
I am trying, at university, to model mass transfer of carbon dioxide through a membrane into a liquid where it reacts.
My model is 1D and I don't know how I can model in comsol the condition of discontinuity at the inteface between membrane and liquid with these conditions:

c,co2liquid interface=c,co2 membrane interface*k

N,membrane interface=N,liquid interface

Thanks a lot for any help.

Dario

Hi,
To get discontinuous concentration profile and continuous flux over the interphase you can use the so called
"stiff spring method". See 'Separation Through Dialysis' in the Model Library for example.
Best regards,
Andrzej
