Indeed there is , its discussed in the instllation guide I believe (I'm out "of office" working from my memory;) or in the mlinterface.pdf. Its something like 
comsol matalb  
options like        " -np 2 "                for two or more processors and
"-tempdir C:\scratch"   
are usefull to keep your scratch files on a large fast disk, perhaps without having the AV fiddlening also with them.
This will open matlab (not comsol) in "linked mode , to gt to the comsol GUI just type on the matlab prompt "comsol" and off you go
