Thermal Heating and Mechanical Pressing

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi All,

I need to simulate Thermal Heating and Mechanical Pressing in polystyrene microspheres. The setup is: I have two glass slides squeezing polystyrene microspheres inside a furnace at 180C and 700N. Can anyone suggest me a way to model this problem, and which physics to use?
Is coupling Heat Transfer and Structural Mechanics a good idea?
Any tutorial or link will be great.

Appreciate your time!

Thanks,
Yasser
